Sonja Morgan Says “If You’re Not Pooping 3-4 Times A Day, You Won’t Look Good”

The ladies of the Real Housewives of New York take beauty and weight loss seriously.  We as viewers have accompanied them for all the good, the bad, and downright quirky anti-aging trends that they’ve tried.  Cryogenic freezing for weight loss?  Anyone?  Sonja Morgan was never one to miss out.

In the most recent RHONY season, the cast had to film post-production interviews in their homes, which didn’t always give the flawless results we were accustomed to from the pre-COVID days.  But viewers noticed how healthy and radiant Sonja looked.  Some attributed it to less boozing during lockdown.  She did get a liquid nose job in July, but that doesn’t explain how vibrant her skin is.  What is her secret?

“People always want to know the crazy things I take,” Sonja told Allure magazine.  

It looks like Sonja’s secret to external beauty has more to do with internal health.  She is often seen on the show rummaging through her aged ruin of a townhouse looking for a particular vitamin bottle, so her regimen is not a surprise but Sonja did list all the supplements that she takes.

The full list includes calcium, magnesium, vitamin D and B12, prebiotics, probiotics, alkaline mineral water, electrolyte powder, collagen-based protein and cocoa power.  But Sonja realizes this kind of commitment may not be realistic for everyone.  So she shared her list of essentials.

“I can’t stress enough this potassium, magnesium, calcium and [vitamin] Bs,” Sonja advised, “and maca powder, which you can put in your shakes.  And digestive enzymes.  Very important.  It gets the endorphins going.  You feel like you’re shopping.  Or having sex!”

There is a theory that digestive health is the root of overall health.  And Sonja makes sure her entire GI tract is healthy.  That means top to bottom.  This includes the intake of, “poop pills.”  Sonja swears by them.

“If you’re not going three, four times a day, you’re not going to look great,” Sonja said.
