Real Housewives Fans Slam Kelly Bensimon For Posting A Photo Of Herself Doing Yoga In Honor Of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

There’s no doubt that Kelly Bensimon was reality TV gold. However, no one has ever praised Kelly for her insights. Reading the room and behaving in accordance are not strengths of the former Real Housewives of New York cast member.

Just like many other people, Kelly posted on social media in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day. However, it was mostly about Kelly, which it always seems to be with Kelly. It’s Kelly’s world and we’re all just living in it, or so she thinks.

Kelly shared a photo of herself doing yoga in an all-white outfit, along with a Martin Luther King Jr. quote that had absolutely nothing to do with yoga.  Oh, and she plugged the brand of yoga apparel she was wearing. How classy, Kelly.

Of course, some Instagram users took issue with Kelly’s lack of awareness, with one person joking, “When you leave your brain on scary island.” And I just had a flashback to Kelly yelling about jelly beans and Al Sharpton.

Another person told her, “This is so tone deaf, Kelly. Frankly, it’s harmful.” Someone else remarked, “This is a moronic use of this quote.”

An IG user commented, “This is performative and cringey. Read the room, lady.” Meanwhile, someone else asked, “WHAT DOES THIS HAVE TO DO WITH MLK JR?” One social media user wrote, “THE DISRESPECT.”

“This is a lot of things but it’s definitely not ‘it.’ Using a quote from Dr. MLK to push your white narrative instead is not just tone deaf. It is disrespectful to what is happening,” a Real Housewives of New York user explained to Kelly.

Someone else told Kelly, “This is so incredibly disrespectful.” Another person commented, “Dr. King was talking about moving forward with equality, which we are still fighting for NOT yoga! This is so tacky. What are you doing to move the fight for equality and moving society forward?”

An Instagram user told Kelly, “Girl, at least upload a pic of him. What relevance does this have?” None at all.
