Ed Brown Rose Vega 90 Day Fiance

Ed Brown Says His 90 Day Fiance Relationship With Rose Vega Was A Waste Of Money

Nobody expected Ed Brown and Rose Vega to go the distance.  And with that incredulity, fans had a very entertaining Season 4 of 90 Day Fiance: Before The 90 Days.  Ed thought he could charm Rose with expensive vacations, while taking her away from her son Prince and generally belittling her life in the Philippines.  He embarrassed Rose by making comments about her hygiene and physical appearance.  But in the end, Rose turned down the expensive gifts in favor of her self-respect and truth.  We all applauded her for it.

After having some time to reflect on his relationship with Rose, Ed is speaking out to give his side of the story.

The timing of Ed’s interview with Us Weekly coincides with the premiere of 90 Day: The Single Life, a spinoff which follows five single 90 Day alums as they look for love. Ed recalled his return to the USA after Rose broke up with him.

“When I returned back from the Philippines [in September],” Ed said, “I really came back, like, that was just a waste of my money and a complete waste of my time, and I failed.  Luckily, I didn’t lose my daughter, which was my biggest concern.”

A rejected Ed spent the next eight months single before deciding to see a “dating coach” to get some much needed advice.

“I didn’t think about women, and then I’m like, ‘OK, it’s been eight months. Ed, are you going to get back on the horse again?’” Ed explained.

Part of moving forward is surely to reflect on mistakes of the past.  Ed joked that his “biggest lesson” learned from dating Rose on camera was, “don’t tell a girl on international TV to brush your teeth.”

Ed also spoke about the personal growth he gained from the experience.

“What attracted me to Rose the most was that she admired me, and that felt really good.  Like after a while, when somebody looks up to you, it feels good. But she opened my heart to love.  Even though it didn’t work out, I came back to San Diego, I got some retrospect on who I wanted to be. And the most recent person that I met was unexpected, and that’s what love is. It really just catches you off-guard, and you never know where it’s going to take you. You never know if it’s going to work out. Love’s a crapshoot.”
