Most Below Deck viewers can agree that Elizabeth Frankini wasn’t the best stew in the world. Conversely, many Below Deck viewers think that Francesca Rubi was difficult to work with. Did Elizabeth deserve to get fired?
Well, she needed help learning how to iron. She made World War-style mustard gas. Yeah, she slept in the guest cabin, but so did James Hough, and he didn’t get in trouble. Was she nailing her job? No, but it was still so weird to see her get fired when there were only two charters left in the season. Then, coronavirus cut filming short, so she got fired after the last charter anyway. What a waste of a firing. But, if Captain Lee Rosbach made that move sooner, there could have been a very familiar face back in the mix, Josiah Carter, from Below Deck Season 6.
According to ShowBiz CheatSheet, Josiah spilled the tea during a recent episode of Below Deck Galley Talk. He told fellow Below Deck alum Julia d’Albert Pusey, “Do you know who Captain Lee called to finish the last two weeks in Antigua?”
“I’ll give you one clue,” he said as he pointed to himself.
Captain Lee wasn’t the only Season 8 cast member who had that idea, when a fan tweeted, “#BelowDeck needs to go back to the drawing board for a chief stew. I would love to see Josiah, Kat [Held], or Courtney [Skippon] return as chief stew. Eddie [Lucas] and Izzy are kind of carrying this season,” Izzy Wouters wrote, “@josiahcarter_ for chief stew please.” We all know how much Izzy loathes Francesca, so there was definitely some shadiness to that response.
Josiah chimed in with some emojis of a man holding his hand up, which made me imagine a serving tray on that hand with Josiah running the interior.
