None Of The Cast Of Real Housewives Of Salt Lake City Wanted To Film With Jennie Nguyen After Her Social Media Posts Resurfaced

Real Housewives of Salt Lake City really has given us everything this season. Good, bad and ugly. And when I say ugly, I really mean that. It was recently revealed that freshman housewife Jennie Nguyen has had a history of posting, liking and sharing racially offensive sentiments online. Fans called for her immediate firing. And her castmates were quick to unfollow her on social media and issue their own statements, condemning Jennie’s behavior.

This was all in the midst of filming season 3 of RHOSLC, which still included Jennie. And Bravo was certainly slow to act. Andy Cohen tried to calm angry fans in the meantime. He stated, “I just want to say, in case anyone doesn’t realize it, that there are many serious discussions happening right now about everything. I can’t address the situation right now, but it will be addressed very soon, and thank you for your patience.” Shortly after, it was announced that Jennie was fired from the show.

Unfortunately, Bravo sat around twiddling their thumbs on how to handle this debacle. But a source tells Page Six that Jennie’s castmates were all on the same page. While it is unconfirmed by any of the cast, a source close to production spilled the tea. They said, “Everyone is so relieved that Jennie was fired. Absolutely nobody wanted to film with her or be associated with her after the social media drama.” The insider added, “The entire cast is excited to see her go.”

This wouldn’t surprise me at all after the statements that each cast member issued. Jennie’s posts included “White Lives Matter” and anti-BLM memes. And the cast was angry. Jen Shah was the first to react and posted to her Instagram. The post read in part, “It was infuriating to see her like and repost comments that made a mockery of and showed complete apathy toward those killed marching to bring awareness to the deep-seeded social justice issues that plague our country.”

Heather Gay posted to her Instagram, “There can be no haven in this world for hateful and anti-Black & violent rhetoric. It is up to all of us to do the work of anti-racism and educate ourselves on the experiences of others.” Lisa Barlow, Meredith Marks and Whitney Rose also made their own statements. All of them condemning Jennie. The only cast member who has yet to say something is Mary Cosby. For her part, Mary was accused of making her own offensive remarks against Jennie on the show.
