If you’re an avid viewer of Selling Sunset on Netflix, you know the show is the perfect mix of aspirational lifestyle TV and reality drama. The series follows the successful and fabulous group of real estate agents working at the Oppenheim Group in Los Angeles. The show first premiered in 2019 and has been showcasing outrageous homes (and workplace drama) since then. Each season honestly just perfects its formula better and better, leading Netflix to plan plenty of spinoffs in the franchise. We just can’t get enough of the frivolous drama of the rich and famous. Is that so wrong?
Us Weekly just revealed that while Selling Sunset just finished filming its fifth season, Netflix renewed the show for Seasons 6 and 7. Let’s not forget that it was only a few weeks back that Season 4 premiered, so Netflix is just cranking an impressive amount of new episodes out. Logistically, it makes sense — the agents are going to work every day selling the houses or not. It’s just a matter of if Netflix is going to film it or not.

The future drama on Selling Sunset is sure to evolve, but it’s got a solid foundation. The edition of Emma Hernan has added a new dynamic to the group, as she’s pretty much the sworn enemy of show villain Christine Quinn. Unfortunately, the unexpected relationship between Chrishell Stause and her boss Jason Oppenheim was short-lived before we even really got to see it on the show. However, it will be interesting to see how their relationship has shifted since they took it to the next level. Needless to say, there’s definitely enough content to fill at least three more seasons of the show. And Christine is bound to have enough outfits to show off for that many episodes, too.
There’s always a tangled web of relationships on the show that blurs the lines of the professional and the personal on Selling Sunset. The cast knows how to work hard, but play harder. And as they continue to expand, there’s only bound to be more drama for those of us with Netflix subscriptions to eat up with every new season. And I, for one, and grateful.
