Finally! We have a premier date for Season Five of Selling Sunset. I can’t tell you how long I’ve been waiting for this announcement. So long that Jason Oppenheim and Chrishell Stause have not only come out as a couple, hidden their relationship, and broken up in the interim. Netflix will be dropping the season April 22.
As for what to expect? Well, we will finally get to see Jason and Chrishell together. That much has been teased. As for what parts of their relationship, and whether or not we will see it end, that’s still TBD.
Personally, I’m hoping we get to meet the infamous Peter Cornell. You know, so we can get his side of the Christine Quinn and Emma Hernan situation. And whether or not he considers Heather Rae Young to be a fourth addition to his previous love triangle?
Speaking of Heather, she’s Heather Rae El Moussa now, and I’m curious how much, if any, of her wedding to Tarek El Moussa will be shown. The entire cast was invited. Except for Christine, of course, and that’s got to be some fodder for office drama. I can’t wait.
Mary Fitzerald and hubby Romain Bonnet will be back. Yay, more canine co-parenting. Maya Vander is still around for filming. Even though she’s started her own firm in Florida. Rounding out the cast are returnees Brett Oppenheim, Amanza Smith, Vanessa Villela, and Davina Potratz.
According to People, our favorite real estate team will be joined by newbie Chelsea Lazkani. Chelsea started out her real estate career over at Rodeo Reality. Past home of Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles‘ Josh Flagg, before he jumped ship and joined Douglass Elliman. Which means she’s no stranger to reality realty.
Chelsea‘s husband knew Jason beforehand, so the transition was an easy one to make. Plus, having a bunch of like-minded women was something to aspire to. According to Chelsea, “It kind of helps me see my future trajectory by being around so many successful women. It helps materialize the fact that I can be selling $20 million, $30 million, $40 million homes, seeing other women in close proximity to me doing it.”
Chelsea also wants to be a role model. “I feel like with great opportunities comes great responsibility. This was kind of my time to give back and to educate and really mentor and push forward Black women in this luxury sector in real estate. So just knowing that I’ve got a greater purpose kind of prepared me for this.” Ooooh, sounds like just the kick in the pants, some of the Selling Sunset ladies need. **Cough** Christine. **Cough**
As for the season itself? Chelsea‘s helping a girl out by dishing that it’s “so juicy. I will say it’s really electric. It’s nothing you’ve ever seen before on TV.” Well, if that doesn’t sound promising, what does? Let’s go!
TELL US- ARE YOU LOOKING FORWARD TO SEASON FIVE? ARE YOU EXCITED TO MEET CHELSEA? DO YOU THINK SHE WILL BE A GOOD ADDITION TO THE CAST?
