Luis Ruelas, Teresa Giudice

Teresa Giudice Isn’t Sure About Having A TV Wedding

Reigning reality TV housewife Teresa Giudice has no problem putting it all out there.  She’s had cameras along for the ride for the last twelve seasons on Real Housewives of New Jersey.  But Teresa’s relationship with Luis Ruelas has given her some pause.  In an effort to protect her fiance during the season, the RHONJ OG confronted producers and tried to cover up the numerous accusations that came up from Luis’s past.

Teresa will protect her “love bubble” at all costs.  She’s a changed woman, thanks to this new sense of discretion and valuation of privacy.  And to that end, People reported that it’s currently unknown if Teresa and Luis will film their wedding for RHONJ cameras.

The mother-of-four recently told E! News’ Daily Pop, “We’ll see,” when asked if she and Luis decided to film their nuptials.

Teresa added, “Luis, of course, [being on television] is not something he signed up for.  He met Teresa Giudice and … does he want to be on TV?  No.  But, if he dates me, does he have to be on TV?  I mean, of course.”

These two lovebirds met while on vacation in their natural habitat.  Is there any better sign for the future of a New Jersey couple than meeting at The Shore?  Teresa and Luis confirmed their relationship in November 2020, coinciding with Teresa’s sudden ingestion of copious amounts of pineapples. Just shy of a year later, the couple announced their engagement.

Plans for the wedding had to be altered due to COVID-19.  In January 2022, Teresa told People, “we wanted to go get married in Italy.  We wanted to do it [there] because originally, we were supposed to get engaged in Capri.  But then he had to change it because of COVID.  Everything he planned was going to be in Capri.”

One decision that is in their power, that Teresa and Luis’ big day will be all about them. “I don’t want it to be about everyone else,” Teresa explained, “I just want it to be about, of course, Luis and I.  You always do things better and different at the same time.  So I’m doing it, and I want it to just be about us.”

This mindset, presumably, includes the shocking decision to exclude sister-in-law Melissa Gorga from the bridal party.  Teresa continued, “It is what it is.  I’m not her best friend, she’s not my best friend.  We’re family.  I love her.  She’s my sister-in-law, and vice versa.  And I’m sure she loves me because I’m her sister-in-law.  But do we hang out like best friends?  No, we don’t, and I’m okay with that.”
Interestingly, Teresa would be receptive to having ex-husband Joe Giudice at the wedding. However, his deportation to Italy from the USA would prevent him re-entering the country. When asked if the father of her children would be attending, Teresa said, “He could, but it’s in New Jersey and he can’t.  We’re [on] good terms.  He’s happy for me, I’m happy for him.”
