Shannon Beador’s behavior on the Real Housewives of Orange County was confusing at best, and erratic at worst. How would it be to confront someone for questionable comments and then have that person claim to have no memory of the incident? Or making flimsy excuses for reckless comments?
Gina Kirschenheiter found herself in such a situation in Season 17 when Shannon made the unfortunate comment about Child Protective Services and Gina’s small children. Shannon was referring to the New York native’s 2019 DUI and the subsequent warrant for her arrest. Shannon suggested that Gina’s children could have ended up in the system had it not been for her intervention.
Gina was understandably outraged and confronted her co-star at the RHOC Season 17 reunion. Shannon didn’t recall making the statement. Then suggested she only meant it could have impacted Gina’s children at the time of potential arrest. The emotions of such a comment were not lost on viewers. And Lala Kent, for one, called Shannon out on her recklessness.
Lala addressed Shannon’s tendency of “not remembering”
Lala addressed her feelings about Shannon on a recent episode of her Give Them Lala podcast. As someone living sober for five years, it was interesting to get her opinion on the issue. Several of Shannon’s co-stars suggested her alcohol intake could use some regulation.
“I’ve noticed with Shannon, she’s not remembering a lot of things that she says. And it’s destructive,” Lala said. “To bring in CPS and Gina’s kids, and to have those two in the same conversation is so beyond reckless. And then Shannon not remembering.”
Had Lala been on the receiving end of such a comment she, “would see red and climb across the room and pull [her] eyes out.”
The mother of one added, “It was crazy to me that she would even think that was okay. And not just apologize.”
Perhaps Shannon’s own DUI experience will change her perspective when filming for RHOC Season 18 begins.
