It looks like Lindsay Hubbard is ready to start speaking. Summer House fans would assume Lindsay would have a lot to say about ex-fiance Carl Radke once she got started. And seems that participating in BravoCon 2023 was the catalyst that we were all waiting for.
One target of Lindsay’s that goes back the span of her relationship with Carl is his best friend Kyle Cooke. The trio star on Summer House together, and Kyle often spoke in disapproval of Carl and Lindsay’s relationship.
And according to the professional publicist, the Loverboy founder also made factually incorrect statements about her relationship.
Lindsay called Kyle out for “therapy-shaming”
Lindsay chose The Viall Files podcast as the platform to set the record straight. The main point of contention was Kyle’s prior statement to E! News that the former couple were in therapy “since they basically started dating.”
“We were in couples therapy, but we were not in couples therapy since we started dating, which is what Kyle said,” Lindsay told Nick Viall on the Wednesday, November 8, episode of his podcast. “I don’t really like when he’s therapy-shaming me for being in couples therapy.”
The implication of Kyle’s statement being that the relationship was dysfunctional from day one. But Lindsay blamed Carl’s former job at Kyle’s company as the reason they started couples counseling in November 2022, after one year together. Some of that drama was included in Summer House.
“He was going through a really hard time with his job at Loverboy,” she explained. “He was very unhappy. Our communication was off. That honeymoon phase wore off.”
Bad vibes …
“It would have made sense if you would’ve camse [sic] in here and told me that, like, him and Carl were talking a lot recently, maybe about his career at Loverboy, and Kyle planted a couple of seeds of doubt,” Nick said of being “surprised” by Lindsay’s theory that Kyle was shocked when Carl dumped her.
“There could’ve absolutely been points in time over summer where, you know, Kyle could have been in Carl’s ear,” she claimed. “Kyle’s had it out for me for years. He always assumes the worst in me and he always thinks I’m some master manipulator, you know, calculated person. I’m like, ‘No. I’m just smarter and quicker. I think on my feet.'”
Lindsay is waiting to watch the new season of Summer House to see what was discussed. She added, “I also think in [Kyle’s] communication, [he] might tell you one thing and then tell somebody something completely different. So, who knows what those conversations [are] — I guess we’ll find out when this season airs right? But, I definitely think someone was in Carl’s ear. I just don’t know who it was.”
The new season of Summer House is said to start in early 2024.
