Real Housewives of Miami Season 6’s premiere revolved around the planning of one important party – Alexia Nepola’s Nuevos Horizontes party. The party was almost quite conflict-free. Until Julia Lemigova started an argument with Marysol Patton.
Julia previously suggested Alexia invite Adriana de Moura to the party. Alexia initially didn’t want to, but recognized the hypocrisy of a party called “New Horizons” that excluded someone over bad blood. However, Marysol was another hitch in the plan to invite Adriana.
Marysol said she wouldn’t attend the party if Adriana was present. She eventually changed her mind, coming to the party regardless. But once there, Julia accused Marysol of emotionally manipulating Alexia. When Marysol asked Alexia to step in, she remained silent.
Alexia was “going through a lot” at her party
At BravoCon 2023, PEOPLE got the chance to speak with Alexia about the party and her choice not to defend Marysol. “I have her back all the time,” she prefaced. “That night I was going through a lot of things myself and I had other things in my mind, so she knew that and she knows I always have her back.” Considering Todd Nepola skipped the party, she had a point.
“I wanted her to prove to herself that she can fight for herself,” Alexia continued. “She doesn’t need me to fight, and she actually did really good job.” Marysol also commented, confirming that the whole thing wasn’t a big deal. “I was good,” she said. Marysol understood that Alexia had a lot on her plate.
“I could see in her eyes that she wasn’t even looking at me when I was saying, ‘Say something,’” Marysol reflected, “and I could tell she was very distracted with the whole thing that Todd wasn’t there. It’s not a big deal, but everyone is offended for me.” Marysol also quipped, “Sh*t happens,” acknowledging that there were times when she couldn’t stick up for Alexia either.
