Monica Garcia wasn’t the only person sitting on a secret during the Season 4 Real Housewives of Salt Lake City finale. Meredith Marks went to Bermuda with a secret, too.
When the ladies started pointing fingers at Meredith and accusing her of setting up fake Instagram accounts, she was defensive but quiet. Everyone thought it was because she had something to hide. It turns out, they were right.
Meredith shared that she went to Bermuda armed with a little bit of tea on Monica. She was intentionally keeping a low profile for a very good reason.
Meredith’s piece of the puzzle
The RHOSLC Season 4 finale felt like the end of a Scooby-Doo episode when the villain finally gets unmasked. We learned Monica was behind the Reality Von Tease troll account. She had been skipping out on her bill at Beauty Lab + Laser. Then, one of the biggest shockers: we learned that there was security footage of a blonde Monica at Meredith’s jewelry store with Jen Shah the same day a green clutch magically disappeared.
On social media, Meredith revealed that she saw the security footage before flying to Bermuda. She already knew Monica was with Jen the day the clutch went missing. So when the Housewives started accusing her of setting up the fake Instagram accounts, Meredith purposely stayed quiet. She had a hunch that something strange was afoot but was still trying to piece it together while holding her cards close.
“I found out about the security footage at MMPC shortly before the trip,” Meredith wrote. “Perhaps now you understand why I was staying calm and quiet, trying to piece together the puzzle as accusations were flying. #RHOSLC”
Little did Meredith know, Detective Heather Gay was also on the case, piecing together the receipts, proof, timeline, and screenshots that ultimately brought down Season 4’s undercover villain. It could have all played out differently had Meredith brought up the security footage earlier.
The drama continues with a three-part reunion, starting next Tuesday on Bravo at 8/7c.
