There’s always a lot of drama in the world of the Real Housewives, but today, we have a real reason to smile. For once, there’s no shade here. It’s just good news.
Teddi Mellencamp just took to her Instagram to share some incredible news — a positive health update. The former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star and podcaster extraordinaire revealed that after over a year of fighting, she’s finally free of melanoma.

Teddi has a reason to celebrate
On Instagram, Teddi shared a screenshot of a message she received from her oncologist. The doctor wrote, “Final report is all good. Some atypical areas, but no melanoma. We’ll have to keep a close eye on you, but all good now.”
The doctor encouraged Teddi to return in a few months for a checkup, but right now, it seems like she’s finally in the clear.
The good news comes after over a year of fighting with the melanoma. In October 2022, she learned that she had Stage 2 cancer. She underwent an immunotherapy, but a few weeks ago, she learned it didn’t work.
“I just had a big ol’ cry,” Teddi said at the time. “I just got the call from my doctor that the immunotherapy did not work, it was not successful.”
Teddi ended up undergoing a painful surgery where the doctors removed a chunk of skin from her back. She described the procedure as painful, but the discomfort was ultimately worth it. She’s kicking off 2024 cancer-free.
You have to commend Teddi for being so transparent during this whole process. She has let her fans (and haters) follow her journey every step of the way. So, let Teddi’s story serve as a learning lesson: take care of your skin and get it checked regularly.
