Sutton Stracke’s Dating Dos and Don’ts

You would think that Sutton Stracke of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills would be a bit better at dating, thanks to her Southern roots and becoming a fan favorite. Sutton was a Georgia debutante-turned 90210 socialite but has yet to embrace the wide world of dating. In her early 20s, she moved to the Big Apple as an aspiring professional ballet dancer. But even having all the grace in the world hasn’t helped Sutton land a second date.

While dating is no easy feat in this day and age, something about the way Sutton is going about it seems painful. Between hiring a professional matchmaker and refusing to go on dates, Sutton has her work cut out for her.

Sutton’s Pro Tips

During Season 10, Sutton recalled the time she had tried online dating, noting, “dating online was hard.” Amen, sister! Nothing about swiping left and poking seems enjoyable. It all feels very calculated and inorganic. During the process, Sutton devised a few rules, including “drive yourself, have one glass of wine at a nice place, and don’t eat, plan appropriate outfits, and bring your assistant.” Sutton explained she never did a coffee date via the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills After Show. I can start to see why Sutton wasn’t having any luck—she had too many rules!

Let’s be honest, whatever she has been doing hasn’t been working out so well with her when it comes to the opposite sex. The only thing I believe she has done right is somehow get $300,000 a month in alimony. I’d like tips on how to do that, please!

Sutton’s own ornate tips left her alone and without a proper escort for far too long, but I hope she starts to embrace love. Honestly, Sutton better adopt the new set of rules because she is paying a pretty penny to Alessandra Conti, $50,000 plus, to be exact, to find Mr. Right.

Sutton Needs To Loosen Up

While attending BravoCon 2023, Sutton stated that she had only wanted her matchmaker to set her up with “Billies,” aka billionaires. Here is where I know I am cut from a different cloth because I thought she meant hillbilly. While the idea was fun to think about, asking for a man who made billions seemed to come across as shallow, and I can guess that most of the men read into that request. Sadly, I don’t think many billionaires are on the hunt for a 52-year-old woman. It also doesn’t help Sutton’s case that she comes across as Ms. Priss, who can’t get her hands dirty.

I would argue that most of the men she goes for wine with probably think she isn’t that interesting. Bravo footage has shown Sutton sitting at the date table with a stone face, subconsciously trying to turn the men into stone so she can escape the setup. Sutton needs to be a little less haughty as she took Sal’s (another blind date) love for his mother as a red flag instead of looking at the benefits of having a caring man. Some fans would argue she let a good one get away.

Sutton Embraces the Matchmaker

No one will be perfect on their quest for love, but Sutton is having a hard time earning that elusive second date. During Episode 11, the boutique owner shared that she had successfully scored a second date, with Steve proudly announcing he has a job. The blonde admitted that they have a lot in common, sharing their passion for karaoke. This last date showed Sutton really giving her date a chance, which included dolling out a few compliments.

The duo has been texting back and forth, which is an excellent turn of events because Sutton seems to be enjoying herself. Previously, Sutton had refused to compliment her dates and often nitpicked everything about them. The last date showed Sutton being more of herself: funny, whimsical, outgoing, and chatty. This is the Sutton that needs to show up on every date, not the quiet, manners-led woman who hates Magic Mike
