Why a Real Housewives of Dallas Reboot Should Be Built Around Claudia Jordan

It was a treat to tune into Deal or No Deal Island and see Real Housewives of Atlanta alum Claudia Jordan back on TV. She was a briefcase model during the first four seasons of the original Deal or No Deal. Her knowledge of the game served as a double-edged sword.

Host Joe Manganiello told US Weekly that Claudia possessed a “sixth sense when it came to what was in what case, what was going to be a good deal, what was a bad deal.” She even knew “when the board was stacked in the player’s favor [and] what player’s board was versus what a banker’s board was.” But her experience also put a target on her back.

Claudia recently expressed an interest in returning to the Real Housewives world- just with a tweak. She wants to be in a reboot of The Real Housewives of Dallas. Let’s take a look at the reasons why a Real Housewives of Dallas reboot should be built around Claudia Jordan.

Claudia is ready for a RHOD reboot

When Claudia spoke with Reality Tea, she mentioned being interested in RHOD. “I mean, I really was hoping that Bravo, and it still could happen, would be open to a reboot of the Dallas housewives, ’cause I have quite a great group of friends here.”

She continued, “And I have a pretty glamorous lifestyle here in Dallas. I actually would do it now.” Claudia added, “I feel like I’m in a much better place and I have a lot more to show.”

What could be more perfect? Claudia already has a group of wealthy ladies that she knows. And Bravo shows thrive when the cast members have connections to each other. A new, and diverse cast could be just what fans have been waiting for.

Claudia is a perfect housewife

When Claudia held her peach during Season 7 of RHOA, she wasn’t afraid of anyone. She was confident, cool, and elegant. Not to mention smart, funny, and shady as hell. And she earned her housewife credentials by coming for OG NeNe Leakes.

At a dinner during the cast trip to Puerto Rico, Claudia called NeNe “bitchy and catty.” And she shaded NeNe’s Hollywood career after her show was canceled. Next, Claudia commented that she never had to be a stripper, unlike NeNe.

NeNe hit back, accusing Claudia of sleeping with just about every guy in Hollywood. Claudia remained unbothered and read NeNe for filth. It was epic!

Real Housewives of Dallas deserves a second chance

RHOD was not renewed after a rocky fifth season. According to Page Six, in 2021 a Bravo spokesperson said, “There are currently no plans to bring The Real Housewives of Dallas back next year, and beyond that nothing official has been decided.”

Season 5 was allegedly plagued by the racially insensitive behavior of some cast members. But that doesn’t mean that Dallas doesn’t deserve a reboot. Bravo rebooted The Real Housewives of New York City with a completely new cast, and it was a success. So, why not recast RHOD, and center a show around Claudia?

Claudia is gutsy and speaks her mind

Claudia made a big move in the third episode of Deal or No Deal Island. She gave up her case so that another competitor could “steal it.” Claudia would be in the bottom two, and possibly face the Banker. Claudia planned to beat the Banker and send Kim Mattina home. After all, Kim called Claudia and Boston Rob Mariano obscene names and tried to rally support to send them home.

At the challenge, Claudia read Kim. Of course, Kim insisted that she never called Claudia or Rob any bad names. “I’ve been being fake nice to you today being respectful ’cause you’re my elder, but you’re wicked,” Claudia told Kim.

In the end, Claudia faced the Banker. Her case held a higher amount than the offer that she accepted from him. So, she was eliminated.

Claudia willingly sacrificed herself to try and get rid of a player who was causing chaos at camp. Her actions showed that Claudia is strong and a formidable opponent. Just like being on a Real Housewives show!

The idea of a rebooted Dallas franchise could excite the Bravo fan base. After all, some of the older series are a bit stale. So, a Dallas reboot built around Claudia Jordan could satisfy previous viewers and bring in new fans. Fingers crossed!
