Claudia Jordan is gone from housewives but clearly not forgotten. The Real Housewives of Atlanta cast member was only on for one season but made quite an impact when she famously went toe-to-toe with OG NeNe Leakes. But for some reason, Claudia just didn’t fit on the show. She made a quick exit before we even really got a chance to know her. I actually really liked her. Anyone who could show up on their first season and read NeNe has my adoration forever. Maybe she didn’t have the most interesting story line (ok, she didn’t really have one at all). Still, I thought she brought some much needed sanity to the show. I think every franchise needs one level headed housewife that seems grounded in actual reality.
Is Kary Brittingham that housewife on Real Housewives of Dallas? Honestly, I don’t know considering how new she is. She doesn’t seem to resonate with fans, despite gracefully handling now defunct cast mate LeeAnne Locken’s relentless attacks on her ethnicity.
Phaedra Parks was part of Real Housewives of Atlanta for eight seasons. Phaedra was married to ex-convict Apollo Nida, and we watched as they welcomed their two sons. RHOA viewers also saw their marital struggles as their union fell apart.
In 2014, Apollo was sentenced to eight years in prison for fraud and identity theft. Apollo was released in June of 2019, but he violated his halfway house rules a few days later. So, he went back to jail. In a decision that surprised no one, Phaedra filed for divorce.
When the explosive trailer for Season 12 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta trailer dropped, there was one glaring absence amongst Bravo’s favorite Georgia Peaches: last season’s newbie Shamari DeVoe.
While fans were quick to assume that the Season 11 rookie had been fired in favor of Kenya Moore‘s return to the franchise, Shamari took to social media to claim otherwise.
Cynthia Bailey has been having quite an eventful year. The Real Housewives of Atlanta star sent her daughter, Noelle Robinson, away for college. She survived the destruction of her friendship with long-time bestie NeNe Leakes. Cynthia invited Kenya Moore to an event without checking with NeNe first. Apparently, that is an unforgivable sin, and gets you demoted to co-worker status. Bloop! Cynthia claimed that she didn’t know Kenya was coming, but the damage was done.
In more positive news, the model made her relationship with sportscaster Mike Hill Instagram official in August of 2018 in honor of his birthday. In fact, Cynthia was so in love with her man that she predicted that Mike would propose sometime next year. Cynthia was ready for a lifetime of “CHill,” as their nickname suggests.
NeNe Leakes has been on Real Housewives of Atlanta for a minute now and she isn’t shy about telling you she’s an OG. Actually, NeNe isn’t shy about much of anything. Season 11 proved to be a trying time for NeNe and she wasted no time in making every single thing about herself. If a situation did not highlight her in some way, she made sure it did.
While living life in front of the cameras, MeMe grabbed the spotlight from Eva Marcille’s wedding. When pregnant Porsha Williams complained of back pain, NeNe let you know her pain was worse. When former cast mate Kenya Moore showed up at a party thrown by Cynthia Bailey, NeNe demoted Cynthia from friend to co-worker. And as we all know, husband Gregg Leakes is suffering from colon cancer – but NeNe’s suffering outweighed his by miles. Petty, it’s what’s for dinner! The only person this season who gave it right back to NeNe was Tokyo tour guide Aya, who doubled down on “being on time” and left NeNe in the dust when she was late for group activities. After a turbulent season of losing friends, NeNe is speaking about who should stay, who should go, and who should join the next journey of RHOA. I have an idea, can we give Aya a peach?
The O Come OG Faithful episode of Watch What Happens Live was everything that I wanted and more. Andy Cohen gathered OG Real Housewives Vicki Gunvalson, Ramona Singer, NeNe Leakes, Teresa Giudice, and Kyle Richards for a special holiday celebration.
Before he provoked them to spill some tea and throw some shade, Andy announced, “Just so you know, Luann [de Lesseps] is doing her cabaret show tonight. Lisa Vanderpump is opening a restaurant in Las Vegas and she’s there prepping. Bethenny [Frankel] is under the weather.” To be fair, Bethenny almost died when she was hospitalized with an allergic reaction. To say that she was “under the weather” is an understatement.
Even though Kenya Moore is not a Real Housewife anymore, she still manages to captivate the fandom. The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum shared the first photo of her baby girl.
It’s a super cute photo of the baby’s little hand on top of her palm, but that’s it. She didn’t share her daughter’s face. We didn’t get a glimpse at a cute outfit. The only thing on my mind is Kenya’s Season 9 tagline: “I give the people what they want, and they always want more.” Yes they do and it’s likely that a lot of people will be checking her Instagram account for more photos.
Did you even vote if you didn’t post about it on social media? Yes, of course, but plenty of people used social media to encourage their followers to register, remind them to vote, and to share that they did vote in the midterm elections.
Some reality TV stars went to vote with their spouses. Orange County Housewife Tamra Judge shared a selfie with her husband Eddie Judge rocking their “I Voted” stickers. Real Housewives of Potomac couple Karen Huger and Ray Huger voted together as did fellow RHOP cast members Monique Samuels and Chris Samuels. Vanderpump Rules star Kristen Doute voted with her man Brian Carter.
