Buying Beverly Hills: Mauricio Umansky Wonders if Kyle Richards Is ‘No Longer in Love’ With Him

Season 2 of Buying Beverly Hills has finally premiered on Netflix, and Mauricio Umansky is already talking about his marriage with Kyle Richards

“With Kyle, I’m starting to feel like she’s a little bit checked out. I certainly have reached out and wanted to kiss her and she kind of said no,” Mauricio said during a confessional. “I’m starting to see that and feel that and I’m not there. I am still, you know, 100 percent fighting for our relationship and I am still thinking that I’m going to be married to her for the rest of my life.”

The pair first revealed they were experiencing marital difficulties in July 2023. Since then, they’ve “gone to couples therapy now three times with the intention of trying to work on the marriage to try to understand and communicate with each other” so that Mau “understand a bit more what’s really bothering Kyle with me.”

Later in the episode, the real estate tycoon continued sharing about his relationship with Kyle. “I’m sitting here and I’m realizing that perhaps Kyle is no longer in love with me, right?” he told the cameras. “And doesn’t love me the way she used to love me and yeah, I mean, it just hurts. There’s no question it hurts.”

Kyle shared more about her experiences with Mauricio during the last season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. During the reunion, she told host Andy Cohen that things transpired between the two, causing her to lose trust in her husband. She didn’t reveal what the challenges were, though.

Many fans have speculated infidelity on Mauricio’s behalf, which the reality star shared strong feelings about. “Sometimes I feel like the public eye… just all the scrutiny — particularly with going through the separation from Kyle — speculation, scrutiny, all of that, it’s annoying,” he said.

Despite that, the family decided to bare it all in front of the cameras for the sake of transparency. “There were definitely challenges,” said Mau. “It was happening; it was real life,” but pretending it wasn’t happening “would’ve been awkward on television.”
