Mauricio Umansky Finds Marriage Scrutiny ‘Annoying’

Mauricio Umansky has found the public’s opinion of his marriage to Kyle Richards quite annoying.

During a chat with Extra, Mauricio and his daughters spilled some tea ahead of the Season 2 premiere of their Netflix series, Buying Beverly Hills. The new batch of episodes will continue to showcase the family’s real estate business, The Agency, while also shedding light on Kyle and Mau’s tough year of marriage. Watchers saw a glimpse of their issues during The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and when Mau filmed Dancing With The Stars. Of course, they had to share their thoughts; however, Mau would rather not hear them.

“Sometimes I feel like the public eye… just all the scrutiny — particularly with going through the separation from Kyle — speculation, scrutiny, all of that, it’s annoying,” he said.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills reunion recently finished airing, and during the sit-down with Andy Cohen, Kyle revealed something serious. She said that her husband of nearly 30 years did something to break her “trust.” We’re still unsure what that was, but there has been speculation.

Mau was spotted with his DWTS castmate Emma Slater and some other women in 2023, which brought a lot of heat his way. However, he understands that it comes with the territory.

“Not being able to live under any privacy or anything like that. That’s definitely a very huge sacrifice that I think we all accept when we all want to be on reality television, and it’s a sacrifice,” he said.

In a separate interview, the real estate tycoon said that he and his family didn’t think to turn the cameras off during this difficult time over the last year.

“The reality is that we are going through our issues after being married for 28, 29 years. We did it and we chose to put it on camera and it was great, and now the audience gets to see the way that we interacted with each other.”

Buying Beverly Hills premieres on Netflix on Friday, March 21.
