Mauricio Umansky Recommended Former RHOBH Star To Casting

Buying Beverly Hills brought many revelations about Mauricio Umansky and his family with its second season. But Mau also gave some details on a former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star.

As it turns out, Adrienne Maloof was cast on RHOBH in part thanks to Mau, according to … Mau himself. He recommended Adrienne due to his longstanding friendship with Dr. Paul Nassif. Hear it from the man himself below.

Mauricio may be indirectly responsible for Botched thanks to his RHOBH casting

In a confessional on Buying Beverly Hills, Mauricio shared, “Dr. Paul Nassif and I have been friends for a long, long time, and I actually suggested that he and his wife be cast for The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. It led to Botched which has been tremendously successful for him.” Mauricio added that if he were to get work done, he’d choose Paul for the job.

The two also filmed a conversation in October 2020 to advertise Paul’s house being on the market. During their chat, Paul asked, “Do you remember when we used to film that, you, and I, and even Ken [Todd]? … we would actually have our little guy events out.” He added, “And I remember we would go to all the parties and then of course all the fireworks and everything.”

Mauricio responded, “I had so much fun with you and I had such a good time. We did so many fun things … I do miss you.” He further noted that the show’s husbands “have kind of fallen off a little bit. We’re still on a little bit but when you and I were on with Ken and all of that stuff we were a lot more part of the show than we are now I think, in my opinion.”
