Brittany Cartwright Teases Valley Drama All Season Long

The Valley is only on Episode 3, and the drama has been explosive. In case you haven’t been keeping up, Brittany Cartwright and her husband, Jax Taylor, are starring in a new Vanderpump Rules spin-off. The show features familiar faces, like Kristen Doute, her boyfriend, Luke Broderick, and many of their other friends.

The drama kicked off between Kristen and Michelle Lally after the former spread a rumor that Michelle was a “racist and a Republican.” Episode 3 ended with fireworks after Jesse Lally slammed the reality star for past behavior that led to her VPR firing. During a chat with Us Weekly, Brittany discussed the remainder of the season and teased that it’s just getting started. “It’s only going to get crazier. This is just the start,” she said.

One of the Season 1 storylines thus far has involved Kristen, her boyfriend Luke, and his relationship with Jax. During Episode 1, Luke asked whether the House of Villains star would unblock him on Instagram. In Episode 2, Jax surprised him at boys’ night with Kristen’s ex, Alex Menache

Jason Caperna noted that he knew Luke the least out of the guys in the group, which led to the latter’s difficult journey of forging genuine friendships with his co-stars.

Brittany also explained why things may have felt off with Luke in the beginning.

“We weren’t very close to Luke at the beginning, so when we started filming, they were still kind of in a new relationship, but he also was in Colorado a lot,” she said. “So even I will admit, I didn’t know Luke very well when we started filming. I know him a lot better now. I love him, think [he and Kristen are] great [together].”

Although Britt said Luke and Jax are “good friends” today, she discussed why her husband was apprehensive to start.

“I think the reason was is because Kristen had just gotten out of a relationship and hopped right into another one and then was already wanting to have kids,” she said. “I support her [and] I want her to be a mom. It’s the best thing that ever happened to me. So, I definitely support that. But I think that’s where Jax’s coming from because he was like, ‘This is happening super fast. She just was talking about it with her ex, and now she’s talking about it with the new one.’”

The Valley continues on Tuesdays at 9/8c.
