Pump those brakes! Although Rachel Leviss has been rumored to have a new boyfriend named Matthew Dunn, she wants the world to know that they’re not official. Technically, she’s still single. The Vanderpump Rules alum is trying to take things slow with this new guy.
The update came via People, who talked to Rachel’s publicist about the new romance. In case you missed it, this guy is an “investment CEO” and a single dad. Up until now, he’s lived his life far away from the reality TV bubble. Rachel might be changing that, but for now, Rachel’s publicist said that it’s too early to put labels on it.
No labels, just vibes
According to Rachel’s publicist, it’s just way too soon for Rachel and Matthew to be in an official relationship. For now, they’re just friends. We all know that word doesn’t mean much in the VPR universe, but still, the publicist seemed pretty adamant that this is all very fresh.
“It’s a little too soon to jump to any labels,” the publicist said. “They met a little over a month ago and are friends just getting to know each other. They met and are hanging out.”
If you’ve been following Rachel’s life after Scandoval, then you might recall that she claimed on her podcast that she was taking a year off dating. Rachel told her listeners that she needed to take some time to focus on herself.
Rachel explained, “Going forward, realizing that through my therapy process, I’m not dating for a year. In doing that, I’m just focusing on myself.”
At the time, the Pump Rules alum said that she felt good about “not adding an additional person in the equation.” That was just a few months before “hanging out” with this new guy. Clearly, Matthew did something special to help change her mind.
