Ariana Madix Hits Back at Pump Rules Finale Critiques: ‘Read My Contract’

Vanderpump Rules Season 11 came to an end on May 7 with Ariana Madix never backing down. She stayed firm in her decision to ignore Tom Sandoval despite his attempts to try and speak to her, supposedly to apologize. But despite that choice on Ariana’s part, she was aware she might face criticism. See her reflections on the big moment.

Why Ariana refused to talk to Sandoval

On the Vanderpump Rules After Show, Ariana discussed her finale behavior with total candor. She laid out her thought process in staying away from Sandoval. “There’s only one person who would benefit from anything that would have happened in that moment and that’s him,” she said.

She continued, “There’s not been one mention of anything the entire summer that sounded anywhere near what is remorse or kindness or anything coming in my direction from him, he knows that this is the last moment he’ll have to redeem himself with the audience and I’m not here to facilitate that. Him crying and me looking like a bitch, I’m not here to facilitate that.”

Ariana further emphasized that Tom was only playing nice for the cameras, considering he said nothing to her after San Francisco. “Apparently he didn’t need to say anything that bad. He could have literally right then,” she said, referring to when their paths crossed after the trip. “There’s so many different ways to try and say something … it actually had nothing to do with me.”

Is Ariana the realest cast member on VPR?

When asked how she would address potential critics, Ariana said, “I would encourage that person to read my contract and find at any point in which I’m required to do anything I don’t deem real or I don’t want to do.” She emphasized that every cast member had the same rights as her. They were all entitled to be their real selves.

“If you think I’m going a bad job as a reality star, I’m Reality star of the Year,” Ariana added. Tom, meanwhile, tried to communicate understanding. “It’s probably too soon and that’s fine. I respect the fact that she doesn’t want to speak to me,” he said during the After Show.

“I’m glad I showed up and I’m glad I had the conversations I had and I faced it. I’m gonna keep showing up and I’m gonna keep having those hard conversations.” Mhm. If Tom is true to his word, then surely, audiences will have seen his growth since the end of Season 11. Oh, wait.

The Vanderpump Rules Season 11 reunion kicks off on Tuesday, May 14 at 8/7c on Bravo.
