Ariana Madix and Tom Sandoval May Go to Trial Over House Battle

Neither Ariana Madix nor Tom Sandoval are relenting from continuing the drawn-out legal issues surrounding the Valley Village, CA home they purchased together in 2019.

The Vanderpump Rules ex-couple both continued living in the home for well over a year, even after Scandoval came to light. Tom offered to buy Ariana out and stay there, but she ended up filing a suit seeking to force the sale of the $2 million home.

Now, recent court documents show that both Tom and Ariana have each demanded a trial to resolve the matter.

Both Tom and Ariana have demanded a trial in their continuing battle over their home

The three-part VPR reunion is currently airing, though it was filmed back in March. When asked how the house dispute was coming along, Ariana was unable to comment due to the ongoing litigation. However, we now have a better picture of where things are.

The U.S. Sun obtained recent court documents showing that Tom and Ariana filed motions requesting to take the dispute to trial.

On May 17, Ariana and Tom separately filed case management statements ahead of a scheduled conference set for June.

Both statements requested a nonjury trial, estimated to take one to two days in court.

Ariana’s statement expressed that “discord” remains between the two, negatively affecting the “ownership of the Property” and her “enjoyment of her interest in the property.”

However, Ariana also plans to file a motion for summary interlocutory judgment. This leaves the door open for a decision in the case to be made before the trial happens.

Her statement also indicated that she might file motions to compel Tom to provide written discovery. He agreed to submit them by December 10, along with depositions.

Tom also acknowledged in his statement that “discord exists” and that he’s “seeking an accounting” before any sale of her interest in the property.

Tom and Ariana shared that they’ve “met and conferred.” The outcome of their latest discussion wasn’t clear. It’s pretty easy to assume it must not have gone well if they’re both asking for a trial.

As of now, there are no additional mediation sessions or settlement conferences scheduled.

Ariana recently bought and moved into a new $1.6 million home of her own in the Hollywood Hills, where she’ll be able to leave her satay skewers wherever she wishes and won’t have to text Tom’s assistant when she wants to use the gym.

Part 3 of the Vanderpump Rules reunion airs Tuesday, May 28, at 8/7c on Bravo.
