A friend in Marge! Tamra Judge is no stranger to hot water. But the Real Housewives of Orange County star has found herself in a serious controversy this season.
But Margaret Josephs knows a thing or two about taking heat from fans and she’s not happy about the amount of backlash that Tamra has received this time around.
“This is a TV show”
On an episode of her Real Housewives of New Jersey castmate Melissa Gorga’s podcast On Display, the two talked about Tamra’s latest troubles.
After an on-air fight with RHOC castmate Jenn Pedranti’s fiancè Ryan Boyajian, fans have been extra mad at Tamra. She had already spoken about Ryan, publicly claiming that he was involved in a financial scandal. The veteran housewife later apologized but the damage was done.
Margaret still doesn’t think those actions warrant the kind of backlash Tamra is receiving.
“The attacks are a little too much. I understand this is a TV show. I think people don’t realize that everyone can have their opinion, but when it gets down to suing and attacking and the aggression it upsets me and it hurts my heart,” Marge stated.
She then added, “This is mob mentality and it’s a gang up and it’s upsetting me. And I don’t like it.”
But Tamra isn’t just liable in the court of public opinion, she might be liable in a court of law. Ryan said in September that he had hired an attorney and had Tamra served in the lawsuit.
Margaret stated, “I don’t like that. I’m not saying people don’t have the right to defend themselves, and you can argue it out on the show or whatever it is, but it’s getting, it’s too much. I don’t like it. I just don’t like that. Listen, our show was as dark as they come and it didn’t even get to that level [of suing one another].”
Real Housewives of Orange County continues Thursdays at 9/8c on Bravo.
