The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 14 is winding down. It has been quite the season, thanks to Dorit Kemsley and Kyle Richards’ showdown. But the All-Star has always been Garcelle Beauvais. The Coming to America actor knows exactly how to play her cards when it comes to the other ladies. She is a steadfast and loyal friend, as she proves over and over by defending Sutton Stracke. However, this will be the last time we see Garcelle hold a diamond. And I am personally devastated.
Garcelle Beauvais made history on RHOBH
After five years as a proud member of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Garcelle announced she would be stepping aside. The mother of three took to her Instagram to share her departing message with loyal fans. Looking like nothing but a class act, Garcelle explained why she would be stepping aside. “It’s been a wild ride, some amazing things have happened, and some hard things have also happened — but it’s been a ride nevertheless,” shared the actor.
Garcelle said, “One of the reasons I’m leaving is my family, my boys. And secondly, I have the most exciting projects that I am developing, producing, and acting in — I can’t tell you anything now, but you’ll know soon.” It’s hard to forget that a legend will be leaving. Garcelle, who joined in 2020, became the first Black housewife in the franchise. During her tenure on RHOBH, Garcelle made sure to call out the ladies’ “unconscious Karen behavior.” She also has been credited for adding political awareness to the cast. Garcelle also made sure to point out the women’s microaggressions and talk about topics like police brutality and the Black Lives Matter movement.
Garcelle Beauvais was the calmest of the bunch
When it came to Garcelle’s demeanor, nothing really ruffled her feathers. While many of her castmates often would have meltdowns, Garcelle approached every altercation like the 58-year-old woman she is. The fan-favorite developed a knack for flying below the radar until it was in her best interest to speak out loudly about it. Garcelle is a confessional gangster, thanks to her ability to throw shade. But she is nice enough to have on screen, and she brings a great balance of energy to the group dynamic.
Garcelle and Sutton’s friendship has also helped make her a standout among the cast. Real Housewives of Beverly Hills viewers can see that she knows how to have fun, especially when she hangs out with the Georgia peach. I love her and Sutton together, and some of my favorite scenes are when the duo hang out. Garcelle has never been afraid to share her emotions when she has been upset. And while she doesn’t fly off the handle, she knows how to drive her point home. I think that with Garcelle gone, Sutton and the rest of the women might be lost without her.
This was Garcelle Beauvais best season
In her goodbye video, Garcelle told Real Housewives of Beverly Hills fans, “The door will always be open, so you never know, I might pop back in sometime,” she said with a laugh. “It’s not good-bye, it’s see you later.” It’s such a shame she has decided to leave since Season 14 has been her best season yet. She hasn’t been afraid to ask the hard questions of Kyle. And even though she doesn’t always get the answers she wants, she does get the conversation started and that is half the battle.
The sneak peek at the reunion shows Garcelle in hot water as Erika Jayne and Dorit felt the need to go after her for her opinions. The trailer shows Garcelle walking off stage saying, “I am just so f*cking sick of it. I can’t be friends with people like that. I don’t trust them. They’re all f*cking *ssholes.” Garcelle refused to return to the reunion and didn’t participate in the group photo at the end of the reunion. Whatever Garcelle’s reasons for leaving the franchise, everyone here at Reality Tea wishes her nothing but the best. We will miss you, Garcelle!
