Everyone has been buzzing about the future of Vanderpump Rules and it’s for good reason. For its highly-anticipated Season 12, it is getting the Real Housewives of New York treatment. That’s right, the series will be saying goodbye to its OGs and enlisting a new crew of catty cast members. This reboot initiative hasn’t gone over well with the stars we’ve come to know. Tom Sandoval wasted no time trashing it, and even Katie Maloney has thrown some shade. Needless to say, it’s clear who didn’t get an invite to cameo in Season 12.
The only person who will continue on the show is its matriarch Lisa Vanderpump. So, of course, when talking about the series’ upcoming revamp, she has nothing but good things to say.
The Vanderpump Rules reboot is “totally different” says Lisa Vanderpump
Lisa recently shared some details related to the upcoming season of VPR. Not only did she confirm that filming is still underway, but she contrasted it to the Vanderpump Rules fans know and love.
“It’s moving along at a very fast pace, but it’s totally different to the original show. Of course, it has to be different. That story had been told,” she told E! News.
While it’s different from the original VPR, the reality TV star did make it clear that the cast is just as entertaining.
“You could film that show 365 days a year. There are a few people that have worked there for years that obviously come with their own problems, and then there’s some new people joining in.”
There haven’t been any official casting details yet. It’s said to include new SUR-vers from Lisa’s iconic bar in West Hollywood.
Vanderpump Rules is available to stream on Peacock and Hayu in the UK and Ireland.
