The premiere episode of Next Gen NYC included a long overdue reunion. Ariana Biermann and Riley Burruss sat down for the first time in years. The daughters of Real Housewives of Atlanta stars Kim Zolciak and Kandi Burruss, it was their first on-screen discussion since they were kids on the show.
The reason for such a long delay? Probably because of the falling out between their mothers. Kandi and Kim used to be close, until a lawsuit came through in 2013. Specifically, Kandi filed a suit against Kim for her song “Tardy for the Party”. Kandi, who produced the song, wanted more compensation for her contribution to the music. Ultimately the case was dismissed, and to this day their friendship has never restored itself. Well, their daughters are hoping to change that.

Arianna recently revealed that she and Riley are conjuring up an idea to get Kim and Kandi together.
“We want to ‘parent trap’ them, is what we keep on saying, and make them rekindle [their] friendship. We’re not going to tell them and we’re just going to show up and everyone’s going to come in. Everybody’s going to work it out,” she told PEOPLE.
It’s unclear whether or not she’s alluding to this reunion being displayed on camera. After all, both moms were featured in the Season 1 trailer. But this plan of theirs may be harder than they thought.
Kandi discussed their beef on Watch What Happens Live back in 2023. In her eyes, she didn’t have an issue with Kim until a comment she made on RHOA.
The girls may need Lindsay Lohan herself to get these two back together.
