In various seasons of Below Deck, certain cast members have recognized each other from other unfilmed vessels. Season 12 is no exception, except that Solène Favreau knows someone from a different season, Dylan Piérre De Villiers. The yachting industry must be tiny.

During Episode 3, many viewers did a double-take after hearing Solène confess that she still loved one of her exes. Then, the cameras revealed that this ex was none other than Dylan from Below Deck Season 11. You know, the replacement deckhand who arrived halfway through his season?

Bravo failed to bring Dylan back for Season 12. But now that his name is attached to this season, we’ll find out what he’s been up to during his absence.

When Bosun Jared Woodin got the ax on Below Deck Season 11, Ben Willoughby rose in the ranks to cover his spot. His promotion created a vacancy on the deck team, and this is when Dylan came aboard for filming.

When Dylan walked onboard in Episode 8, almost every head turned his way. But then, Dylan spoke. His words were many, to the point where the stews who fell under his trance quickly fell out of their separate hazes.

But Dylan persisted. His words quickly turned to frustrations, however, after Ben promoted his Below Deck Season 11 boatmance partner to the lead deckhand role instead of Dylan, who had only been onboard for a handful of scenes. Thankfully, once this storyline passed, Dylan mostly blended into the background as other dramas took over.

Dylan was not the largest source of drama during his shortened stay on Below Deck Season 11. Yet, he still gave fans many things to talk about BECAUSE LOOK AT HIM. Let’s find out what Dylan has been up to since his Season 11 cameras officially went dark.

What has Dylan Piérre De Villiers been up to since leaving Below Deck?

Since filming on Below Deck Season 11 wrapped, Dylan has used his half-filmed season of hair flips to make even more cash online. On Instagram, Dylan has created content for brands like OBLVN, Rhythm Brewing Co., and Bogatsky Photos. While his content creation rates might not be as high as some of his fellow Below Deck veterans, you can still appreciate the hustle.

When not posting content for a profit, Dylan is reveling in his Below Deck era with his three penned images online. His first image features several behind-the-scenes photographs of his Season 11 cast and crew alongside various charter guests that he encountered once onboard. His second image is of his first (and only) appearance on Watch What Happens Live. In his third and final penned image, Dylan posted a compilation of photographs and videos with one of his Below Deck Season 11 costars, Barbie Pascual, saying he was “so grateful to meet such an amazing woman.”

From this collection, it is clear to see that Dylan thoroughly enjoyed his visit with Barbie in Florida. From the remaining images, it is also clear to see that all of the cameras love Dylan. This fact is likely why he has since taken up modeling. However, Dylan has not posted any additional images featuring any other yachts, so I remain unsure if he is still working his way up the ladder in this industry.

Dylan did not return for Below Deck Season 12. Even still, his name is sounding on the superyacht St. David. As it turns out, Dylan used to date Solène. And from the sounds of things, these two yachties were very much in love.

In Episode 3, Sòlene pumped the brakes a bit on her crush with Kyle Stillie. Kyle knows Dylan, as they worked together on Below Deck Season 11. However, as Sòlene explained, moving forward with someone new is a big ask, as she is still hurting from a recent breakup.

“This bracelet is from my ex-boyfriend, Dylan,” Sòlene began in an interview, noting, “We were very in love. And I didn’t hide what I felt.”

Dylan and Sòlene sadly called it quits ahead of this year’s charter season. Thankfully, their split involved nothing sinister. “We broke up because he was in another country, so … distance,” she explained. But, “Even after, I still love him,” Sòlene confessed.

“Since Dylan, I’ve never been in love again,” Sòlene further admitted. “I’m young [and] I’m free. I’m not looking for a relationship,” she ended.

Sòlene is also “not sleeping” with Kyle this season, she joked.

Below Deck is streaming on Peacock. In the UK and Ireland, Below Deck streams on Hayu.
