Jax Taylor just can’t help himself and thanks to his latest appearance on Watch What Happens Live, the self-proclaimed bad boy of Bravo is back in hot water. What was supposed to be a promo moment for The Valley and a chance to show he has changed his ways turned into Jax doing what Jax does best. The man talked too much, shaded Lisa Vanderpump, and dragged himself into a whole new pile of mess. Even longtime fans were left rolling their eyes and asking the same question: has Jax learned anything? Spoiler: No, he has not.

Tom Schwartz calls Jax Taylor’s WWHL comments “pathetic”

Both Jax and Tom Schwartz were guests on the same night. And after the father of one ran through his rehearsed monologue claiming he was a changed man, Schwartzy had some feedback. The Tom Tom owner may be known for his laid-back style of confrontation, but even he had enough after Jax’s WWHL performance. During the episode, Jax took several chances to paint himself as a victim.

After Jax answered questions from Andy Cohen and apologized to viewers, the Bravo kingpin asked Tom his opinion. He noted, “What he just said is one part pathetic but another part brutally honest. You know, I just, if you’re asking me, ‘has he changed?’ No, he’s not.” Oof. It felt like Tom came out swinging and wasn’t holding back. Tom continued, “I don’t think he has yet. I think. You know, I’ll give him credit for 201 days of sobriety. He’s trying to be a better person. I’m holding space for hope.” And Tom’s not wrong. Jax’s constant narrative of being the one wronged is tiring. Tom added that even Jax’s “biggest critics and the people that are most disappointed and resentful of him right now are still holding space for him to be better.”

Kristen Doute claps back after Jax stood up for her on WWHL

Kristen Doute has always stood for the truth. No matter how much trouble she finds herself in for speaking out. In a twist no one saw coming, Jax attempted to stand up for Kristen during his WWHL appearance. But that moment of sweetness didn’t stop Kristen from sharing her true feelings about his guest slot. Kristen didn’t exactly appreciate the half-hearted defense. Within hours, she posted a comment on her Instagram.

Viewers were outraged that Jax had once again been given a platform on Bravo. As fans were commenting, one wrote, “Why does Jax abuse his wife on national TV and still get paid by Bravo? And an appearance on WHHL? Sickening to be showcasing DFA.” Kristen quickly commented below, adding, “He shouldn’t be on WWHL.” The statement was short, sweet, and directly to the point. Kristen has never been one to let things slide, and Jax trying to downplay his intensity while painting himself as the voice of reason? Yeah, that was never going to fly, especially since Kristen has been carrying half the emotional weight of The Valley while Jax spirals about Ring cameras and burner accounts.

The Valley fans are less than impressed with Jax Taylor on WWHL

It wasn’t just the cast that had something to say. Fans across Twitter, Reddit, and Instagram lit up the comment sections after Jax’s Watch What Happens Live appearance. At the top of the show, Andy noted, “We got a lot of Tweets from people that are mad that you are here.” Many fans promise to turn off their TVs in an act of protest. Viewers were quick to point out the hypocrisy of Jax calling out others for drama when he’s the one bringing the most. Others dragged him for interrupting Andy multiple times and throwing shade that felt more like projection than confidence. One Twitter fan wrote, “No, Bravo should have broken up with Jax a long time ago.”

Another user posted, “He still had to get that dig in to her. Man hasn’t changed an ounce the entire time he’s been on TV. If anything, he has gotten worse because now there is a child involved. He’s disgusting, and Bravo continues to keep him on and promote him is disgusting.”

Every time Jax opens his mouth, it’s 2013 all over again. Except now he’s 45 and still blaming everyone but himself. The backlash was swift, and it wasn’t just casual viewers chiming in. Longtime Bravo fans, the ones who’ve watched Jax’s highs and lows for a decade, weren’t buying what he was so desperately trying to sell. Honestly, who can blame them?

The Valley is available to stream on Peacock and Hayu in the UK and Ireland.
