Vanderpump Rules alum Tom Schwartz seems to be enjoying some better days. The former VPR star was sad that the show didn’t get a farewell season. Plus, the closing of his bar with Tom Sandoval, Schwartz & Sandy’s, also weighed heavily on him. The bar closed its doors in December 2024.
Tom Schwartz says the Florida construction is “almost done”
Poor Tom stated that owning the bar was “hemorrhaging my life force for that.” Not to mention all the money that Tom lost. Thankfully, now he is focusing on a long-term project that is coming to fruition.
In 2024, former Pump Rules star revealed, “I have property in Florida, I’m finally gonna build a house for my family there. I have this little pond. I’m super stoked about that,” Tom added.
The Daily Dish reported that Tom recently stopped by Bravo HQ. He answered some questions for fans during a live stream exclusively for Bravo Insiders. And he gave a big update about his project in the Sunshine State.
“It’s almost done,” Tom stated. “It’s a small little house. Three bedrooms. Two bath[s]. I think it’s like 1500 square feet.” He added, “And it’s cool.” As for the style? “It’s got a really pretty kitchen. The vision was a little like Key West-style shanty, but used as a term of endearment,” Tom explained. That sounds about right!
He shared that he has had the property for years. “[It’s] on this beautiful piece of property that I’ve been sitting on since 2018.” And Tom built the house for his father to reside in. “He’s actually back in the hospital right now,” he said. “So, it’s sad. It’s bittersweet because, you know, as we’re approaching a move-in date, I’m not so sure if he’s going to be able to move in.”
In 2023, Tom told Rolling Stone that his father has suffered from “near-fatal blood clots” and “almost [died] multiple times.” Thankfully, Tom told BravoHQ that right now, his father is “OK” and “stable.” Hopefully, Tom’s father will be able to move in soon. And, with any luck, we may be watching Tom as part of The Valley Season 3’s cast.
