They have yet to divorce. And those loyal to Tom are suggesting she used the petition as means to shelter herself, abandoning the former lawyer in his time of need.
A month later, a lawsuit accusing Tom of embezzling funds meant for airplane crash victims emerged. He received an 87-month prison sentence. Erika managed to extricate herself from the more serious legal involvement. Thus, Tom’s supporters are livid in how it turned out for her.
Tom Girardi’s close friends are going after Erika Jayne
A source exclusively told RadarOnline that Tom’s remaining friends resent her for coming out of the situation unscathed.
“The second that things started unraveling, Erika ran for cover and left him to rot,” an insider told the news publication.
The source added, “She ditched him the moment the money ran dry.”
It was initially suspected that Erika’s entertainment company was funded by Tom’s ill-gotten gains while they were still married. However, in 2022, a court ruled that the reality TV star had “no actual knowledge” of how her estranged husband was financing their flashy lifestyle.
She may have made out well in court, but Erika didn’t always present herself in a good light in the court of public opinion. RHOBH viewers got a front-row seat to all the drama when the RHOBH veteran appeared less than empathetic towards the people Tom allegedly swindled. Then there were those diamond earrings.
However, Erika is still being sued by Tom bankruptcy trustee. The lawsuit alleges that the Pretty Mess singer knowingly used embezzled funds. She is being sued for $24 million.
The insider claimed Tom’s nearest and dearest are hoping Erika will be held accountable within this lawsuit. The source stated, “They don’t buy her Miss Innocent act and think she ought to face some justice, too. They haven’t forgotten how she bailed on Tom the moment it suited her, and they’re furious.”
