New Cast of Vanderpump Rules Reboot Spied Filming as Season 12 Is in Production

When the original cast of Vanderpump Rules ended up at odds with each other following Scandoval, Bravo decided the show needed a total refresh. It’s difficult to make a TV show when certain cast members refuse to be in the same room together, .

After a lengthy pause in production, cameras have finally resumed filming of Pump Rules.

Despite fans objecting to the reboot, Bravo announced the revamp of the series in November 2025. The next chapter of the series featuring the chaotic lives of the staff at Lisa Vanderpump’s SUR restaurant reportedly began filming in April.

Vanderpump Rules Season 12 is officially unpaused and filming

On July 14, the new group of SUR employees was spotted filming in West Hollywood. Though the staff is new, Peter Madrigal remains as the longtime SUR manager.

“The last 12 years of filming have been an extraordinary run full of laughter, tears and everything in between,” Lisa said at the time. “I can’t thank enough those who have shared their lives. How I love you all.”

But now she’s ready to move on with the new cast. “In the restaurant business, one shift always gives way to another,” she told Us Weekly. “Cheers to the next generation of Vanderpump Rules.”

Additionally, Executive Producer Alex Baskin teased changes to the show since the reboot. “We’re excited. It’s back to our basic principles,” he said on a June episode of Lady Gang. “It’s a group of people who are really friends in their 20s, who work together and kind of do everything together.”

Further, he’s pumped for fans to see the revamped show. “It bears very little resemblance to the original — other than, obviously, there’s SUR and Lisa presides over it. There’s that life phase again.”

“I love the fact that people are doubting us,” added. “I want people to watch it and fall in love in spite of themselves, [and] I think they will.”

Vanderpump Rules Seasons 1-11 are streaming on Peacock in the US and on Hayu in the UK and Ireland.
