Things are getting ugly in Denise Richards’ split from Aaron Phypers. And her ex-husband, Charlie Sheen, is getting quite worried and protective of her according to new reports.
Charlie and Denise have had their share of ups and downs as a couple. And their divorce was pretty contentious as well. So personally, he may not have a leg to stand on in this fight, but for what it’s worth, he’s feeling pretty protective of his ex-wife.

When Charlie first heard about the split, he wasn’t immediately supportive. He likely didn’t want her hurt after all they are now on good terms and co-parents. But he also probably figured her marital problems didn’t have anything to do with him.
However, when the abuse allegations began, everything changed. This is according to a source who dished the gossip to the National Enquirer.
According to the media outlet, Charlie is “absolutely horrified” by the things Denise claims she has gone through. “He has been checking on her and even told her he’d personally step in if Aaron came anywhere near her,” the source said. “He’s being very protective.”
The source further added, “Charlie can be very compassionate when he wants to be. For all their troubles, he loves Denise. She’s the mother of his children and he’ll always have her back.”
To recap, since the split, Denise has accused Aaron of being physically and emotionally abusive, including slapping and hitting her. Aaron has denied these allegations and accused Denise of having an affair. It’s getting really messy really fast and is shaping up to be among the worst divorces in Housewives history.
As for Denise and Charlie, the pair split up when she filed for divorce in 2005 citing irreconcilable differences. People are now wondering if her split from Aaron would mean a possible reconciliation of the exes.
With Charlie’s protective streak emerging, perhaps a reunion is not too far off? In the meantime, Denise is trying to keep busy and keep her head above water. The former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star is said to currently be shooting some scenes for RHOBH.
