Body Language Expert Calls Out Jax Taylor’s Valley Reunion Performance: ‘All Warning Signs’

I know this may come as a shock, dear readers. But some people feel that Jax Taylor was giving us red flags at The Valley reunion. While Jax discussed his sobriety and became emotional, he didn’t get much sympathy from the cast. And his estranged wife, Brittany Cartright, told him that she didn’t trust him.

Plus, he tried to deflect his bad behavior by claiming that he was unsure how to navigate his new life. He did admit to intentionally trying to hurt Brittany, which was a surprise to no one. Now, a body language expert is weighing in on Jax’s behavior at the reunion.

Jax Taylor “repeatedly used dominant language” at the Valley reunion

Joanne Pearson, who is a body language and deception detection expert at British Lie Detector Test, clocked Jax’s actions. “Jax repeatedly used dominant language, defensive body posture, and emotional deflection. These are all warning signs when assessing truthfulness and emotional manipulation,” Joanne stated, “especially in a relationship setting.”

Plus, Jax’s facial expressions gave Joanne a lot of information about his feelings. He clenched his jaw, had “forced smiles,” and compressed his lips. The UK-based expert continued, “These gestures show emotional suppression – someone trying to appear calm while their body betrays deeper frustration or discomfort.”

And when Jax told Brittany that she “should trust” him during The Valley reunion, his statement was problematic. “The word ‘should’ implies blame,” Joanne explained. “Instead of validating Brittany’s feelings or taking accountability, Jax redirects the pressure onto her – which is a common tactic used to regain control during confrontation.”

It seems that Jax’s behavior hasn’t changed since he left rehab. It is for the best that he is departing The Valley. However, since Jax and Brittany have to co-parent their son, Cruz, I expect that Brittany will continue to be subject to Jax’s allegedly manipulative behavior.

The Valley airs Tuesday nights at 8 pm on Bravo. It streams on Hayu in the UK and Ireland.
