Season 7 of Love Island USA may be over, but several of the romances are still going strong. Amaya Espinal and Bryan Arenales won the $100,000 prize. Plus, Olandria Carthen and Nic Vansteenberghe had a huge fan base, even before they realized that they were attracted to each other. Both couples stopped by Watch What Happens Live to discuss their time in the villa.
Viewers were thrilled that fan favorite Amaya Papaya finally found her person in the villa. And Olandria decided to make herself happy and explore her connection with Nic. And America was right, as “Nicolandria” came in second place.
Andy Cohen and Love Island USA fans probed the cast on WWHL
During the WWHL After Show, the couples answered some questions. One of Andy Cohen’s staffers asked what surprised the Islanders the most when they got their phone back. “The amount of love that we were getting. The Nicolandria thing,” Olandria said. “I literally thought America was going to be so against what we had going on.”
Another staffer asked, “Besides each other, what friendships have you guys maintained from your time in the villa on the outside?” Olandria replied, “Chelley [Bissainthe], my girl, my soul sister. I love her to death.” Nic responded, “For me, obviously, Bryan, we got really close. Taylor [Williams], Ace [Greene] – those are my boys for life.” He added, “Pepe [Garcia], the general of Nicolandria nation.”
Then Bryan said, “For me, I’d say Chris [Seeley] and TJ [Palma]. Those are my guys.” Finally, Amaya gave her picks. “I would say, Iris [Kendall], Hannah [Fields], Olandria, and Huda [Mustafa],” she said.
When Nic and Bryan were asked about the best date they had taken Amaya and Olandria on, Nic explained that he took Olandria to Greece. Meanwhile, Bryan said, “I told her our first date will be truffle pasta that she loves. I gotta treat her right now.”
I’m sure we will learn a lot more during the Season 7 Love Island USA reunion.
