Jax Taylor is certainly going through it recently. But it’s not without cause. His bad behavior has been put in the spotlight, and no one knows what that’s like better than Tom Sandoval. Their relationship has had its share of ups and downs and Tom gave an update on what’s been happening with them recently.
The two friends have known each other since before their Bravo debut on Vanderpump Rules. They’ve experienced multiple breakups and makeups since then. Jax famously bashed Tom (both Toms!) for Scandoval and was quite vocal about his disdain. He eventually decided that his friend had suffered enough and said it was time to give him a break.

Where do the two stand today? According to Tom, they remain on good terms. After all, the adage “misery loves company” is only cliché because it’s true. This time, however, it’s The Valley alum in the hot seat.
Jax is currently facing backlash for his messy divorce from ex Brittany Cartwright, a cocaine addiction, all around bad behavior, and height-enhancing footwear (something Real Housewives of Orange County Star Tamra Judge couldn’t help but call out).
Tom has been there for Jax during this difficult time. After all, no one understands being the villain better than Tom right? He showed up to support his “best friend.” The pair rekindled their close friendship when Jax got out of rehab in 2024. Jax said that Tom checked on him more than anybody else.
It looks like the two are still going strong today. Tom revealed in a recent interview with Decider that he just hung out with Jax during a screening of the film Freakier Friday.
“I actually just saw Jax yesterday,” Tom said. “We went and saw a movie together. We’re doing good. I’m really trying to support him and be a good friend as he tries and he gets the help that he needs. I wish him all the best.”
Jax has a long road ahead of him and a lot to make up for and change. But at least it looks like he’s going to have his bestie by his side through it all.
