While Luis Ruelas fights with the IRS over unpaid taxes, he’s also in court fighting with his ex-fiancée, Vanessa Reiser. He claims she went out of her way to disparage him, and he’s wrapping Teresa Giudice’s daughter, Gia Giudice, into the mess. He thinks the Next Gen NYC has been a victim of emotional stress due to his ex’s behavior.
Teresa Giudice’s daughter Gia is now wrapped up in Luis Ruelas and Vanessa Reiser’s court battle

In case you aren’t familiar with this case, it all stems back to The Real Housewives of New Jersey. Luis claimed that after his appearance on the show, Vanessa contacted bloggers, family members, and RHONJ cast members to spread gossip about him. According to Luis, this was in direct violation of a 2020 non-disparagement agreement.
Luis wants to have his ex found in contempt, and in new court documents reviewed by Us Weekly, he’s involving Gia in his mess. He accused Vanessa of following Gia on Instagram, which has caused Gia to feel stressed. Yes, he’s in court fighting over Gia’s Instagram.
Although Gia and Teresa have never met Vanessa, Luis said that her behavior online has caused the family “daily emotional distress.” Specifically, the court docs said Vanessa “makes her presence known” on Gia’s Instagram, causing “uncomfortable feelings and emotions for a young girl.”
Vanessa has maintained that she hasn’t done anything wrong. In court documents, Luis included a screenshot of one of Gia’s Instagram posts. Vanessa noted that the screenshot didn’t show her interacting with the post. It didn’t have anything to do with Luis. Between that and the fact that Gia is a 24-year-old reality star, Vanessa thinks this whole thing is a non-factor.
She said, “If Gia felt uncomfortable by something or someone online, she could simply block that person. If [it was] harassing, she could report that person. If she alleges criminal conduct, she could involve the police.”
Vanessa continued, “If she claimed defamation, she could file a civil action. She has done none of the above.”
“What cannot be done is allow [Luis] to attribute his wife’s adult daughter now, that she feels uncomfortable, from a 2021 post, of which on its face there is no nexus to me, and use [the] same as evidence in court,” Vanessa concluded.
A judge hasn’t ruled on the matter, so this isn’t the last we’ve heard of this drama. It’s been dragging on since 2020, and clearly, it isn’t slowing down anytime soon.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey is streaming on Peacock and Hayu in the UK and Ireland.
