Rumors have been swirling about The Real Housewives of New York. After the original RHONY cast was shown the door following Season 13, a shiny, rebooted cast was brought in. However, Season 15 of RHONY failed to ignite. Add in a toxic and disturbing finale, and the show was put on pause.
However, recently, there seemed to be some movement on the casting front. Andy Cohen shared that some “new” housewives had been confirmed. Andy added that this decision is “unannounced” and that Bravo executives “haven’t rounded it out yet.” Welp, now the casting team is weighing in on all the gossip.
The RHONY casting team suggests no cast decisions have yet been made
Castingnow2025 shared a rather cryptic message via Instagram. The post was captioned, “Before everyone and their mother texts me …. FAKE NEWS!!!!!” along with an apple emoji. The message itself, in white lettering on a black background, read, “Once again COMPLETE FAKE NEWS. Please stop believing rumors. Thank you for coming to my TED Talk.”
Of course, there have been rumors swirling that The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: RHONY Legacy, found a possible new home on E! The network was reportedly considering bringing back the OG’s in a housewife-style series instead of focusing on a girls’ trip.
Recently, former RHONY Legacy cast members Dorinda Medley and Luann de Lesseps tossed around their thoughts about the possibility of something happening with the original cast. “I think something’s cooking because there’s been a lot of talk about the OGs,” Luann explained. “I think there’s a real demand for the OGs to come back. So I don’t know what they got up their sleeves, but I think something is cooking.”
Meanwhile, Season 15 cast member Brynn Whitfield has already quit the series, as has friend of the cast Rebecca Minkoff. It remains to be seen if some or all of the rest of the cast is returning with some new additions.
