Vanderpump Rules star Scheana Shay is opening up about her former castmates and their “true colors.” Reality Tea got the chance to chat with Scheana at Page Six’s Virtual Reali-Tea event in September where she revealed the VPR gang didn’t congratulate her on her new memoir, My Good Side.
Scheana Shay found out who her Vanderpump Rules “friends really are”

The memoir, which hit the New York Times Best Sellers List in July 2025, is a candid look inside the reality star’s life, detailing behind-the-scenes secrets, hidden affairs, and juicy celebrity gossip. The book’s success made headlines, but it wasn’t enough to warrant the attention of Scheana’s VPR castmates.
“I didn’t hear from as many as I would’ve liked to,” she told us. “I didn’t have as much support as I would have expected, but that’s ok. [It’s] moments like this [that] really show people’s true colors, and you find out who your friends really are. I’ve now put some boundaries in place with those friends. I see where we stand and it’s not super close.”
She went on to say she is not in regular contact with most of the cast, telling us, “I don’t talk to a lot of them. I would say I keep in touch with Tom Schwartz the most.”
Scheana made headlines earlier this month after her former co-star Lala Kent gave a vague answer about their rumored feud on Amazon Live.
Lala responded to a fan who asked if she and Scheana had a falling out, saying, “I just say Scheana Scheanas, and I’m letting Scheana Scheana,” Lala said. “I don’t know. I’m just here minding my own — I don’t know. Scheana Scheanas.”
Vanderpump Rules is now streaming on Peacock and Hayu in the UK and Ireland.
