Reactions continue to pour in over the shocking arrest of Real Housewives of Potomac star Wendy Osefo. She and her husband, Eddie Osefo, were booked on more than a dozen fraud-related charges, all stemming back to a 2024 home burglary that may or may not have ever happened. The Osefos have asked for privacy while they navigate the fallout, and now their Bravo boss, Andy Cohen, has weighed in. He’s feeling just as stunned as the rest of us.
Andy Cohen is “really sad” following Wendy and Eddie Osefo’s booking on fraud charges
Andy broke his silence on the Osefos’ arrest during the October 13 episode of SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live. It was his first live show since news broke of the arrest, and he told his listeners he felt “sad” for the couple, who joined RHOP back in Season 5.
“Like all of you, I found out about the charges against Wendy and Eddie Osefo on Friday morning,” Andy began. “There’s not much I can say. I know nothing of the charges more than you guys do.”
Andy said he had been following the headlines about the couple, who were booked and arrested late Thursday night, on October 9. According to the police, they arrived at the Osefos’ residence and discovered several luxury items that they reported stolen during a 2024 burglary, in addition to other inconsistencies in their story.
“I’m sad about this,” Andy admitted. “I’m really sad about this, and you know, I’m a Wendy fan and she has been a great Housewife and a great role model. She’s always led with education and her solid family values.”
Andy wrapped up by wishing the family the best. He’s also hopeful that this situation turns out to be less serious than it sounds. For now, things aren’t looking good for the Osefos.
He said, “I’m really thinking about her and her family, and I’m certainly hoping that this is all sort of a big nothing.”
