We are learning more about Aaron Phypers’ arrest on October 17. Aaron and his estranged wife, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum Denise Richards, were testifying in court. The actress was seeking to make a temporary restraining order against her ex permanent amid their contentious divorce.
Meanwhile, Aaron was arrested when he left the courthouse. In a matter of hours, he was free on a $200,000 bond. Denise’s ex was charged with two felony counts related to dissuading a witness by force or threat and two felony counts related to injuring a spouse.
Aaron Phypers is accused of trying to prevent cousin Kathleen McAllister speaking out
US Weekly reported that Aaron is facing allegations that he prevented his cousin, Kathleen McAllister, from discussing his alleged abusive behavior towards Denise. Kathleen worked at Aaron’s former wellness center. According to the new court documents, Aaron reportedly “knowingly and maliciously” behaved in a manner that included “force and an express and implied threat of force and violence” against both Denise and Kathleen. This incident allegedly occurred on January 17, 2022.
Meanwhile, in Denise’s petition for a restraining order, she detailed the same incident. The former RHOBH star claimed that Aaron struck her in the eye. She added that a female family member witnessed the violence.
In the end, Kathleen testified against Aaron during the restraining order court hearing. “I saw Aaron hit Denise, and immediately she had a really bad black eye. I’m literally in shock now to this day about it,” Kathleen stated in court, referring to the incident on January 17, 2022. Plus, Kathleen detailed other terrifying incidents of abuse against Denise and accused Aaron of threatening Denise’s life. However, Aaron has repeatedly denied any allegations that he was abusive towards Denise.
