After being on Vanderpump Rules for eight seasons, Lala Kent’s moving out to The Valley.
Admittedly, the mom of two has mixed feelings about her stint on VPR. But now that the show has been recast for Season 12, it’s time for Lala to move on. So she’s following former castmates Kristen Doute and Brittany Cartwright out to the San Fernando Valley.
Lala Kent loves “making reality TV”
At BravoCon 2025 in Las Vegas, producers announced that both Lala and Tom Schwartz would be officially joining The Valley Season 3. Though it seemed like a logical fit for the Lala Beauty owner, at first she was a bit apprehensive.
“I was very, very concerned about going back onto reality TV after how I left Vanderpump Rules,” she told Bravo’s Daily Dish. “I had to do a lot of healing during that time, and taking accountability, so I didn’t know if I wanted to be in this line of work.”
But when she received an actual offer, she thought about what it could mean to her and her family. “I had to take a moment to say, like, ‘Is this going to be good for me?’” she said. “I love making reality TV, and these are my friends. So, it’s like, of course, you’re going back.”
Looking back at her time on Pump Rules, Lala openly admitted regrets over the way Season 11 ended. She confessed to experiencing “foreign emotions” and an “explosion” of negative feelings over Ariana Madix’s refusal to film with her ex, Tom Sandoval. Two years later she told Entertainment Tonight, “I wish I [had just] shut the f*ck up.”
“It altered friendships,” she said. “It altered just a very happy place for me. I never experienced that before. It was humbling, but it also felt like karma.”
Since Pump Rules ended, Lala has used the time to focus on herself, her family and her business. Now she’s looking forward to bonding with the other cast members of The Valley.
