Kim Zolciak just received some news that may make her holidays a bit less merry. The former Real Housewives of Atlanta star was slammed with a huge tax bill from the IRS.
Of course, Kim’s ongoing, tumultuous divorce from Kroy Biermann is never far from the headlines. And the duo’s marital woes were also accompanied by some serious financial problems. Next Gen NYC fans were stunned when Kim and Kroy’s daughter, Ariana Biermann, dropped a bombshell. “And then I started posting on Instagram and got my first brand deal when I was 14,” Ariana previously shared. “Unfortunately, my parents took my money.”

Yet, Ariana is still loaning her mother money, adding that she is “very good at paying her back.” Oh, my. It looks like Kim may need a whopper of a loan to get in good standing with the IRS. Are you listening, Santa?
US Weekly reported that the Don’t Be Tardy star received a new tax bill for $1.3 million. The IRS filed a lien against Kim on December 11 for taxes that weren’t paid for 2019, 2023, and 2024. The total lien for all three years equals $163,804.30. Plus, the address attached to the lien is listed as a six-bedroom home with six bathrooms. The value of the home is estimated at $1.3 million.
Meanwhile, the IRS hit Kroy with a new lien in November 2025 for unpaid taxes for the years 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2024. Now, Kroy owes $194,199.24 for those years.
However, the former couple also has a lien from 2023 in the amount of $1,147,834 for back taxes that they reportedly owe for 2013, 2017, and 2018. That makes Kim’s total due to the IRS for both liens against her a staggering $1,311,638.
