RHOBH’s Kyle Richards Reacts to Dorit Kemsley and Amanda Frances Drama on WWHL

On January 29, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kyle Richards was a guest on Watch What Happens Live. While she was there, host Andy Cohen asked for Kyle’s “take on the whole Dorit [Kemsley] versus Amanda [Frances] situation.”

To back up just a bit, in last week’s episode of RHOBH, Dorit confronted Amanda about some comments she’d heard. Dorit had learned that the newbie was concerned about the way Dorit was speaking about her estranged husband PK Kemsley.

Unfortunately, Dorit picked the wrong day to go after Amanda. It was the three-year anniversary of her infant son Zion’s death, and Amanda was already “holding on by a thread.”

In response to Andy’s question about Dorit vs. Amanda, Kyle said, “In that moment, you know, Dorit really did not know … about the anniversary. So, I felt so bad. I was thinking to myself, ‘Abort mission! Abort mission! Don’t do this!'”

“But then when [Amanda] told her,” Kyle added, “I think she should have let it go, right?” But she didn’t. At that point, she should have just apologized for her horrific timing, expressed her condolences and stopped talking.

Determined to make her point, Dorit followed Amanda to the door and tried to continue. Had she just waited for a better time to talk to Amanda, “We could have repaired [the relationship],” Amanda said in a confessional. “We could have recovered.”

“It felt very aggressive to me in that moment,” Amanda added. “I think the minute I told her what the day was, it should have been, ‘I’m so sorry. I had no idea.’”

Dorit should have dropped the conversation at that point.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills airs Thursdays at 8/7c on Bravo. It streams on Peacock the following day.
