Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Sutton Stracke is still grieving the loss of her marriage. Her divorce from Christian Stracke was finalized in 2018, and the former couple shares three children. According to Sutton, Christian brought a cake to her birthday dinner, and then filed for divorce. Who does that?
Poor Sutton was blindsided. Of course, her generous divorce settlement included a monthly alimony payment of $300,000. That seems fair, since Sutton said goodbye to her career after the birth of their first baby. However, Sutton recently revealed a stunning piece of information about Christian’s new relationship.
Sutton Stracke says ex Christian Stracke is dating her former friend
Plus, Christian petitioned the Catholic Church for an annulment. During Season 15 of RHOBH, Sutton dealt with her emotions surrounding Christian’s actions. She was no longer recognized as Sutton Stracke within the church and was once again Sutton Brown.
During RHOBH Season 15 Episode 11, Sutton and her friend Jennifer Tilly discussed her divorce. “I feel like the fact that Christian asked for the annulment because he wants to get married to somebody who was once a very close friend of Sutton’s adds an extra layer of betrayal,” Jennifer said in her confessional.
Meanwhile, in a flashback to six weeks earlier, co-star Rachel Zoe asked if Christian was in a relationship. “Yeah. We were friends,” Sutton stated. “It’s all weird.”
In her confessional, Sutton opened up about Christian’s new relationship. “When I found that Christian was dating my friend, who … we had raised our boys together, I was shocked,” she explained. “I think the biggest betrayal was that neither one of them told me about the relationship. I had to hear it from my son.” Now that is a real gut punch.
Throughout it all, Sutton has handled herself with grace and never slammed her ex. Hopefully, she will continue to heal and move forward.
