Andy Cohen Sends Message to Mary Cosby’s Family After Robert Jr.’s Death

Last night, Andy Cohen issued a heartfelt statement to Mary Cosby on Watch What Happens Live. Earlier this week, her son, Robert Cosby Jr., died. As Andy stressed, Mary is now experiencing “every parent’s worst nightmare.” All that she needs now is support, which Andy is happy to lend.

Robert Cosby Jr. died unexpectedly at 23

Earlier this week, Robert Jr. unexpectedly passed away. As documented on RHOSLC, his addiction battle was long fought. But now, his soul is finally at peace. This storyline is real and raw, so Andy decided to use his WWHL platform to address Mary personally.

“Before we go, I want to send all my love and heartfelt condolences to Mary Cosby and her family after news broke yesterday about the tragic passing of Mary’s son Robert Jr.,” Andy said, right before last night’s program came to an end. “This devastatingly sad news is every parent’s worst nightmare. My heart breaks for Mary,” he continued.

Andy “will always appreciate getting a small window into the unconditional love between Mary and Robert Jr.,” he added. Regarding her interactions with Robert Jr., Andy said, “Mary, you did such a good job.” To the viewers, Andy stressed, “I know their bravery and their vulnerability in sharing their story has helped and will continue to help countless people who are struggling.“ For now, “Rest in peace, Robert Jr., and thanks,” Andy ended.

This marks Andy’s reaction to this tragic event. Earlier this week, via his radio show, Andy revealed that he’d been in contact with Mary following her loss. As he explained, on RHOSLC, he “really admired” how Mary “met” her son “where he was.” In closing, as he and his co-host agreed, Robert Jr. was “so lucky to have a mother like Mary.”

The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City is streaming on Peacock.
