Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker appear to be on decent terms. The pair may be going through a divorce, but they are focused on being good co-parents and being civil despite the split. To that end, Kandi actually helped Todd with his new movie, and she shared that it contains some familiar Real Housewives of Atlanta faces.
Michael “Bolo” Bolwaire has bagged a role in Todd Tucker’s new film
On Watch What Happens Live with host Andy Cohen, Kandi shared some details about Todd’s latest movie. The movie is called Don’t Bring Your Man to Atlanta. It’s about a couple’s struggles with temptation and betrayal after moving to Atlanta.
Fans of RHOA will recognize some familiar faces in the film. Shamea Morton Mwangi plays Leah, who is in a relationship with James. Another fun throwback to RHOA is that Michael “Bolo” Bolwaire is in the film, too. He plays a personal trainer.
RHOA viewers will, of course, remember Bolo from Cynthia Bailey’s bachelorette party during Season 13. He caused quite the stir with the ladies, with several rumors swirling about who may have slept with him (a classic RHOA mystery!)
Kandi was particularly proud of Bolo’s performance in the movie. “Bolo did an amazing job,” she confirmed. “And his career has really taken off as an actor. He’s killing it now, and I’m very proud of him.”
Kandi confirmed that the movie is Todd’s movie. He wrote it and is the producer. But she did admit to helping facilitate things and reached out to certain people for him, like “Hey, go and do this movie.” It’s nice to see that Todd and Kandi are on good enough terms to be able to work together.
Don’t Bring Your Man to Atlanta is a thriller about love, betrayal, and transformation against the Atlanta nightlife scene.
