Dancing with the Stars fans are already daydreaming about who will be part of Season 35. The cast reveal is months away, yet the speculation has already begun. And one name that has been swirling around is former The View co-host, Rosie O’Donnell.
In March 2025, Rosie packed her bags and left the United States for Ireland. One of the main reasons was the re-election of Donald Trump and the political climate in the U.S. Rosie recently stated that she doesn’t regret her move “at all.” So, will we see Rosie waltzing in the ballroom this fall?
Could DWTS bring Rosie O’Donnell onto the cast?
Rosie addressed the rumors head-on. She shared a post via Instagram with an AI photo of her, looking 80’s glam. She was standing in the ballroom, in a green, metallic dress. A headline on the photo read, “Breaking News. Rosie O’Donnell, 63, makes Dancing with the Stars Debut.” Underneath that text, it read, “She returns to the U.S. in an epic comeback!”
Rosie captioned the post, “This made me laugh – reminds me to never get a perm!!! Completely untrue but funny.” Some fans shared their thoughts in the comments. “Wish it was true. I would absolutely watch the show,” one follower commented. Another wrote, “You look far better than AI photo shop lol.” Meanwhile, another fan wrote, “No one talks about perm trauma but it’s real, and it runs deep.” Amen!
Speculation is already heating up that some Olympians from the 2026 Winter Games will grace the ballroom. After all, Olympians have a great track record on DWTS. Last season, Olympic gymnast Jordan Chiles came in third place with her partner, Ezra Sosa. However, conservationist Robert Irwin lit the dance floor on fire, taking home the coveted Mirrorball. Influencer Alix Earle nabbed second place.
Dancing with the Stars is available to stream on Disney+.
TELL US – ARE YOU DISAPPOINTED THAT ROSIE WON’T BE ON DWTS? WHO WOULD YOU LIKE TO SEE IN SEASON 35?
