An insider claimed, “It’s constant — cards, gifts, deeply personal messages. She’s making sure they feel valued, remembered, and appreciated,” describing a flow of handwritten notes, flowers, and even Markle’s “As Ever” jam.
The outreach is reportedly part of an attempt to maintain the relationship after changes in how Netflix works with Markle and Prince Harry. Their arrangement allegedly changed from an overall deal to a first-look one in August 2025, which means that Netflix gets the first chance to consider new projects from Archewell Productions.
Besides, sources suggested Markle’s effort follows the end of a Netflix deal and an “overstaged” public moment of friendship at a recent event. A source claimed, “What’s happening off-camera is far more strategic — and far more meaningful,” adding, “She’s trying to rebuild trust in a deeply personal way. This isn’t transactional — it’s emotional.”
However, not everyone thinks of the gesture as heartfelt. Another insider said, “She knows exactly what she’s doing. It’s charm, it’s calculation — and it never lets up. At a certain point, it starts to grate.”
