The Valley stars Tom Schwartz and Lala Kent caused quite the stir on the latest episode. The two have always been friends, but was there something more between them? They jokingly had a soft launch last year, but there was nothing more to it. However, on The Valley Season 3, Episode 5, Tom and Lala were back at it again with a kiss. But according to Tom, it wasn’t any different than “the way I would kiss my mom.”
Schwartz insists the smooch was harmless
Tom and Lala were mostly good friends while on Vanderpump Rules. But there was never anything romantic between them. However, last year, Lala posted a photo with Tom of their “soft launch,” which sent the internet into a frenzy. She wrote, “Like so soft it’s not even real, type soft.”
Soon everyone was wondering if there was more going on between them. But it ended up being just a joke. Tom had said about the post, “I liked it, [but] I didn’t repost it out of respect for someone I’m dating. But she is in on the joke.”
Well, the two are at it again, causing speculation and rumors. While at Brittany Cartwright’s pool party the two shared a kiss. This was encouraged by Michelle Saniei, who had also flirted with Tom. So, how did Tom feel about it all?
Tom explained to DECIDER what went down in that moment. He stated, “I know I’m supposed to hype things up and tease them, but me and Lala truly have no romance.”
Then he clarified that they pretty much will never happen as a couple. He added, “We will never date. As they say, Lala will chew me up and spit me out. It just was the most innocuous, innocent, like, the way I would kiss my mom. Sorry to spoil it.”
Ultimately it was just all in good fun. Tom shared, “Don’t read into that. It was a fun, silly moment. Lala’s my girl, though.”
